We are a mental health consumer/survivor organisation formed in 1999 and based in Brighton & Hove. We specialise in service monitoring, policy development, organisational and small group training and research in mental health, as well as innovative social support models.

We also work with consumer/survivor groups, both nationally and internationally, to develop broad networks of interest in the areas of individualised policy, personalised service provision, individual support and human rights.

We strive to work with everyone that has a clear vision – no matter his or her particular perspective on disability or recovery issues – and we work to build positive networks that celebrate diversity and offer hope and a clear vision for positive futures.

.

We are interested in employment issues and endeavour to support the development of empowering and ethical social enterprises which provide appropriate opportunities to people during their recovery.

We also explore how neighbourhood regeneration, community development, national and local policy and self-help can promote improved mental health through collective empowerment and a sense of social inclusion for everyone..

We build world-wide networks where we can, and try to learn from other cultures as much as possible. All our work is recovery oriented.
